Nuestro pequeño "Piri" nació el 01.12.1.999.
Cuando tenia alrededor de 4-5 semanas se nos puso tan malito con una diarrea tal que
Joaquín, nuestro veterinario, nos dijo que fuésemos pensando en que no podría superarlo. Esa
noche durmió dentro de mi zapatilla junto a nuestra cama y a media noche me
levanté para ver como estaba. Estaba fatal. Le cogí y le metí dentro de la cama
conmigo y nos tapamos con el edredón de plumas, bien calentitos. No me moví en
toda la noche para no molestarle. Cuando me desperté, no quise mirarle porque
temía que ya no iba a estar vivo y tardé un rato en poder abrir los ojos.
Finalmente los abrí y le miré. El me miró a mi y empezó a mover su pequeña
colita loco de alegría. Lo peor ya había pasado y volvía a la vida !!!
Desde ese momento decidimos que fuese o no un ejemplar de exposición, ese
cachorro no se iría nunca de nuestro lado y que ya no estaba en venta.
Siempre
fue "el chiquitín" ya que tardó en recuperarse y poder pillar al resto de sus
hermanos y hermana.
Mi Chiquitín llegó a ser "El Más Grande" y un Grande de España !!!
Aunque otros ejemplares hayan podido conseguir el mismo número de títulos que él,
ninguno ha llegado a ser B.I.S. en la Exposición Especial de Razas Irlandesas
(en Irlanda) ó Ch. de Irlanda y Ch. de Inglaterra.
Ha tenido una vida preciosa, ha sido un animal muy querido allí por donde ha
estado: en Finlandia, en Irlanda y en Inglaterra y ha tenido una descendencia
portentosa.
Desde aquí queremos dar las gracias a Hannele & Pekka Virtanen (Gaeltacht
Kennel) y
sobre todo a
Miss Una Rigney (Arigna Kennel) por su ayuda, su apoyo y sobre todo por creer en él.
Gracias pequeño por haber estado a nuestro lado y por todo lo que nos has dado.
Lo hemos pasado todos estupendamente contigo y ha sido un auténtico placer tu
compañía.
Siempre, siempre vivirás en nuestros corazones.

Our little Piri was
born on the 01.12.1999
When he was around 4-5 weeks old he got so sick with a bad Diarrhoea that
Joaquin, our Vet, told us not to count on him anymore. That night he slept
inside my slipper next to our bed. In the middle of the night I woke and
got up to see how he was, he was fatal. So I took him into the bed with me
and covered us with our feathers comforter, very warm. I didn`t move at all
so I would not bother him. When I woke up in the morning, I didn`t want to
open my eyes as I was afraid he wasn`t going to be alive anymore and it took
me a while to open them. Finally I opened them and looked at him, he looked
at me and started wagging his little tail with happiness. The worst part
was over and he was returning to life again!!!
Since that very moment we decided that we didn`t care if he was a show dog
or not but he was not going anywhere and also not for sale anymore, he would
be by our sides forever.
He always was the “Chiquitin” (small one) as it took him a long time to
catch up with the rest of his brothers and sister.
My “Chiquitin” got to be the “Biggest One” and one of the Greatest Dogs in
Spain!!! Maybe other Kerries obtained as many titles as he did but none of
them ever got B.I.S at the Special Irish Breeds Ch. Show 2005 (in Ireland)
or Champion of Ireland and Champion of England.
He has had a wonderful life, has been over loved in every place he has been
at: in Finland, Ireland and England, and he has given us beautiful offspring.
From here we want to thank Hannele & Pekka Virtanen (Gaeltacht
Kennel) and specially to Miss Una Rigney (Arigna Kennel) for
their help, their support and for beleiving in him since the very first moment.
Thank you "Chiquitin" for being by our side all this time and for all you have
given us.
We all had great fun with you and your company has been of great pleasure.
You will always, always live in our hearts.
